ORGANIZING MY TIME

• what homework to do?
I know what homework i have to do because of the syllubus but also i write down all the assignments i have to hand in on a post it note and once i finish with it ill check it off the list.

• when to prepare for tests?
i prepare for test by making myself a study sheet and start studying not the night before but give myself at least 7 days to study so i could fully understand and memorize the material.

• what classes to attend?
i know what classes to attend because of the help of my cd counselar marianne.

what instructor conferences to go to?
I go to the CD counselar because she will anwser all my questions

• How do you track what you need to do in other roles, such as your social or work life?
i make sure school is my main priority and once i finish all my hw or assignments i go out and have a fun time because i know all my responsiblities have been accomplished so i have all the time to have fun. i currently dont have a job but when i do ill make sure to always be responsible.

  •  Why do you currently use this approach? How well is your system working (give examples wherever possible)? How do you feel while using this approach to self-management (e.g., stressed, calm, energized, frantic, etc.)?
i feel like if i get my assignments studying and everything out the way by doing it i relieve all the stress and just enjoy life. it keeps me calm to know i can go out and not have to worry about my paper due tomorrow. i like to keep a social life so by getting rid of the responisblities i have in school i get to go out and have fun without any type of stress.
1. What logical conclusion about my studying habits and test taking can I draw as a result of this analysis/class discussion?
my studying habits have to be improved i get easily distracted. my test taking habits have to be changed also i get very nervous when it comes to taking test i forget what i studied the day before so i have to make sure to be relaxed during test.
2. What changes can I make to improve my exam performance before the next exam?
i need to relax and study more to make sure i remember everything .

Personal Responsiblity

  • I learned that  nobody is responsible but yourself for what you have to do.
  • I learned that when you go for shortcuts you end up failing even more.
  • Being responsible is being able to really commit yourself and time manage your schedule.
  • Giving up sleep to finish an assignment is better then handing in something that is not yours.
